Updating Customer Information Stored at FastSpring

Overview

This article explains how you can update customer account information stored on file with FastSpring.

If your website features customer account logins, from time-to-time, you may have a customer change their email address or other information via your website. In that case, you can use the /accounts endpoint of the FastSpring API to update the customer account information stored by FastSpring.

 Note

Once a customer account exists in FastSpring, it can only be updated via the FastSpring API. If you pass updated information such as a new email address when setting up an order using the customer's account ID, the updated information is disregarded. The order uses the customer account information on file.
