Creating a Discount with Conditions (Creating a Coupon with Multiple Codes)

Once you have set up a discount. you can add restrictions based on a date range or a coupon code by adding conditions. Conditions control when and where the discount is applicable or effective. Only one condition of any particular type is allowed. This article will teach you how to add restrictions based on multiple coupon codes. If you would like to learn how to use a singular coupon code, please see Creating a Coupon using a single code.

In SpringBoard, go to Promotions and Appearance » Offers » Select the discount to which you want to apply restrictions.

Select either "add" or "Edit."

Coupon Condition

A coupon promotion will only work when the coupon codes are present in an order.

If you do not need multiple coupon codes, please see Creating a Coupon using a single code.

Multiple Sequential Codes

Choose this option if you want to have a predictable way of identifying coupon codes after purchase.

Enter in the actual coupon code phrase you would like to use. Coupon codes are case insensitive - the customer may enter them in any combination of lower case and capital letters. Click Create.

You will now need to enter in the details for your coupon. Please make sure to click Save after you have entered in this information.

Name   For managerial purposes (this will not appear to a customer), you can enter in the name of this discount.

Maximum Uses  Determine the maximum number of uses for each coupon code. If you would like each coupon code to be used an unlimited number of times, leave this field blank. If you would like a coupon code to expire after a singular use, enter 1.

Email Validation  If you would like to limit the use of these coupon codes to customers from a certain company domain, such as Apple, Inc. employees, type @apple.com. If you would like to limit the use of these coupon codes to customers from certain domain endings, such as students, type.edu, or to limit to government employees, type .gov.

Begin Number  Type the first number that can appear at the end of your coupon code. For example, typing 100 will make the first coupon code JANUARY100.

End Number  Type the last number that can appear at the end of your coupon code. For example, typing 1000 will make it so no coupon code ends in a value greater than 1000, so JANUARY1001 will not be a code.

Step / Increment  Type the increment amount that will change the number that can appear at the end of each coupon. Typically, you do not want to offer coupons that are consecutive, such as 100, 101, 102, etc. Type an increment so that a customer will not randomly guess a coupon code. For example, typing a 7 will make the numbers 100, 107, 114, etc. appear at the end of your coupon code.
