Can I host the shopping cart on my own domain?

Since FastSpring is the vendor of record and legally responsible for the sale and for PCI compliance, FastSpring must host order pages, including those using a shopping cart flow, on our servers. You cannot use PHP, JavaScript, iframes, or any other scripting code to embed the store directly into your site. However, a visual style template will make the order pages look almost identical to your website.

If you would like us to create a custom order page style for you, please open a support ticket and provide us with a link to a live URL from which we should base the style template. New style development can take up to a month, depending on unforeseen complications, but we usually get them done quicker. This service does incur a fee and there will be a charge for changes, additional styles or complete redesigns. It is therefore in your best interest to wait until your site design is finalized before making this request.

However, if you have some experience in html and CSS, you should be able to create the order page on your own. The look and feel of your FastSpring store is controlled by a visual style template, which is basically a zip file containing the xhtml, CSS and images necessary to create the page. Take a look under Styles from the SpringBoard Store Home for more information and examples. If you run into questions along the way, please feel free to contact us by opening a support ticket.
